Hello!

I am a mom of two young, imaginative boys who love superheroes, exploring and having adventures. We spend much of our time exploring the mountains near our California home.
When my oldest son was about 3 years old, he got a bad scrape on his knee. He refused to clean it. So we made up a fantastical world where germs were the "bad guys" and superheroes were the "good guys." The tiny superheroes lived inside the first-aid spray. It was up to my son to spray them on the germy "bad guys," and become a "Germ Fighter!" Every time he got a cut, he wanted to hear about the first-aid superheroes. Soon we began to make clay characters as a way to imagine our story. While the boys attended preschool, my husband took photos of the clay characters and then I compiled it into a book. As I worked on the story, my son helped me with the captions for the characters. He loved seeing his words become part of the story.

I am happy that I can share the complete book with my other son, who is about 2 years younger. And I hope that other parents, who may struggle with cleaning boo- boo’s, can share this story with their kids too.
